I haven't played Grandia II in years but my save files from Anniversary Edition still work in HD Remaster.video options are only "Resolution", "MSAA" (up to 8x), a fullscreen toggle and "Pause Game When Losing Focus") but I suppose there's only so much you can do with a nineteen year old game. Settings are still only available via a separate launcher and it's fairly spartan (e.g.It detects Xbox One and PS4 controllers and displays the appropriate button graphics wherever applicable (albeit sparse). Several (but not all) textures look cleaner and got a HD facelift, particularly with the interface, e.g.The game is still 30 FPS outside of battle. 60 FPS battles are standard now instead of being a toggleable option like in Anniversary Edition.It doesn't seem possible to play in 4:3 anymore.

In Anniversary Edition it would stretch things like the interface, text boxes, etc. I haven't played very long but I've made some early observations. I don't have Grandia but I have Grandia II already, which was retroactively updated to HD Remaster.
